Hosting, updates and changes, handled every month.

A care plan is a monthly arrangement where we host your site, back it up every day, keep its software patched, watch for downtime and make the changes you ask for. It suits owners who want their website looked after by people who know it, without adding another job to their week.

What happens when a website goes unmaintained

A website isn’t finished at launch. The software underneath it — the platform, the theme and the plugins that add features like forms or booking — keeps getting updates, and many of those updates close security holes that are already public. A site that skips them gets a little more exposed every month.

The decline is usually quiet. The SSL certificate lapses and browsers start warning visitors away. A plugin update breaks the contact form, and nobody notices until a customer calls to ask why you never replied. The host has an outage overnight. Holiday hours from two years ago are still on the homepage.

Hosted platforms like Shopify, Webflow and Framer patch their own core software, but the rest still drifts. Apps and integrations change underneath you, listings fall out of step with the site, and content ages. None of this is dramatic on its own, but each one costs you trust or inquiries, and the fix is always harder later. Restoring a hacked site without a recent backup can mean rebuilding pages from scratch. A care plan exists so this work happens on a schedule, done by people who know your site, instead of in a panic.

How change requests and change hours work

A change request is anything you ask us to add, edit or remove on your site. Swap team photos, update prices, add a service, post a job opening or put up a closure banner: each is a change request. Tell us what you want, where it goes, and send any new text or images. For now that happens by email; a client portal for requests, files and invoices is coming soon.

Each plan includes a set number of change hours a month: one on Essentials, four on Growth and ten on Partner. Time spent making the changes you ask for counts toward those hours. These never do:

  • Updates, backups, monitoring and SSL renewals
  • Getting your site back online after an outage
  • Fixing anything that breaks because of an update, the hosting or our own work
  • Showing you how to make an edit yourself
  • Seasonal promo pages on Growth and landing pages on Partner

We tell you how long each request took, so you always know where you stand. If something needs more time than you have left, we say so before starting and you choose: spread it over a couple of months, move up a plan, or have us quote it as a separate fixed-price project. Unused hours don’t carry over to the next month.

More than a hosting bill

Plenty of maintenance plans are a hosting invoice with a promise attached. Updates run automatically and nobody checks whether the site still works afterwards. Backups exist, but nobody has ever restored one. The person who built the site has moved on, so every small edit turns into a new quote.

We work differently. After updates, we load the key pages, send a test through the forms and, on a store, run through checkout. Backups only matter if they restore, so we check that they do. When we take over a site, we also fix the problems that make upkeep harder: plugins nobody uses but that still need patching, a domain registered in a former designer’s name, analytics that quietly stopped tracking after a redesign, or two security tools fighting each other and slowing every page.

Good care also means the site keeps improving instead of just surviving. That’s what change hours are for: your website should look like your business does today, not the week it launched.

Listings, ads and an easy exit

Your website is rarely the only place customers find you. On Growth, we keep your Google Business Profile in step with the site — same hours, current photos, regular posts — and the monthly report shows where visitors came from and what they did. Partner adds ad campaigns, landing pages for specific offers and a quarterly strategy session, so the ads, the pages they point to and the plan behind them sit with one team. For deeper work, see SEO & local search and Campaigns & ads.

Leaving is simple: you can cancel anytime. Your domain, content and site stay yours. When you cancel, we help you move hosting wherever you like and hand over a recent backup, every login and access to your analytics and listings. Nobody should keep paying for a plan because leaving feels hard.

Not sure which plan fits? Compare them on the plans page, or get in touch and we’ll recommend one after looking at your site.

Who it's for

Sites we just launched

You've launched a new site with us and want the same people who built it to keep it healthy. We already know how it's put together, so your change hours go further.

Owners without a web person

Nobody on your team owns the website, or the person who built it has moved on, so updates, renewals and small fixes slide until something breaks. A care plan makes it someone's actual job.

Businesses that change often

Your hours, menus, prices, products or promotions shift through the year. Monthly change hours keep the site in step with what's really happening in your business.

Owners ready to run ads

If you're spending on ads, Partner puts campaign management, landing pages and a quarterly strategy session in the hands of the same team that runs the site those ads point to.

What's included

Everything below is part of the work — not an upsell waiting at the end.

Managed hosting and SSL

We run the hosting for WordPress and custom-built sites, and manage the hosting settings on Shopify, Webflow and Framer. Either way your domain stays connected and SSL — the padlock in the address bar — stays active and renewed, so browsers don't warn visitors away.

Daily backups

A full copy of your site is saved every day and kept separately from the live site. If an update goes wrong or a page gets deleted, we restore a recent version instead of rebuilding it.

Security and plugin updates

Your theme and plugins — add-ons that give a site features like forms or booking, called apps on Shopify — get updated as new versions come out, along with WordPress itself. Outdated plugins are one of the most common ways small sites get hacked, so we apply updates, check key pages and forms afterwards and roll back if anything breaks.

Uptime monitoring

A monitoring service checks your site around the clock and alerts us when it stops responding. That way we usually hear about an outage before your customers do, and getting you back online never comes out of your change hours.

Monthly change hours

Every plan includes time for changes: 1 hour a month on Essentials, 4 on Growth and 10 on Partner. Use it for new photos, updated prices, a new page section, a staff bio, a form tweak or a closure banner.

Support that fits your plan

Essentials includes email support. Growth adds priority support, so your requests move to the front of the queue, and Partner adds same-day support for when things can't wait.

Reports, search and seasonal pages

Growth adds a monthly analytics report in plain English: how many people visited, where they came from and what they did. We also keep your Google Business Profile — your listing in Google Maps and local search — up to date, and fix problems Google reports about your site, like pages it can't find or read. Seasonal promo pages for sales, events or holiday hours are part of the plan too.

Ads, landing pages and strategy

Partner adds ad campaign management and a quarterly strategy session to review results and plan the next three months. Landing pages on request — single pages built around one offer, where your ads send people — are part of the plan too. Ad spend is paid straight to the ad platforms from accounts in your name.

How it works

Ongoing, month to month or yearly. You'll always know what's happening this week and what's next.

  1. 01Days 1-3

    Audit

If we built your site, we skip straight to setup. If not, we start with the free audit to check how the site is built, where it's hosted, how far behind its updates are and whether backups exist. You get a plain list of anything that needs fixing first.

  2. 02About a week

    Setup

We move or connect your hosting, confirm SSL, switch on daily backups and uptime monitoring, apply overdue updates and save a clean starting copy. We also clear out unused plugins and check that your domain and accounts are in your name.

  3. 03Every month

    Monthly upkeep

Updates, backups and monitoring run in the background. You send change requests whenever you need them, and we tell you how much time each one used.

  4. 04Monthly or quarterly

    Reviews

On Growth you get a monthly analytics report, and on Partner a quarterly strategy session as well. We use them to decide where your change hours will do the most good next.

  5. 05Whenever you choose

    Handover

If you cancel, we help you move hosting wherever you like and hand over a recent backup and every login. Nothing is held back.

How pricing works

Care plans are priced per plan rather than quoted per project, and you can compare Essentials, Growth and Partner below. You pay month to month, or yearly with two months free, and you can cancel anytime. Which plan fits depends mostly on how often your site changes and how much of your online presence you want to hand off. If your site needs repair work before we can look after it, we quote that separately as a fixed price after the free audit.

What you have at the end

  • Your domain, still registered to you
  • A full, recent backup of your site
  • Every login and admin account

Questions about care plans

Something else? Ask us directly.

What counts toward my change hours?

Time spent on changes you ask for: new or edited text, photos, prices, products, pages, sections, forms and small design tweaks. Seasonal promo pages on Growth and landing pages on Partner are part of those plans, so they don't use your hours. Routine care doesn't either — updates, backups, monitoring, SSL, outages, and fixing anything that breaks because of an update, the hosting or our own work.

What if I need more or less time than my plan includes?

Unused hours reset each month and don't roll over, which keeps the plan price predictable. If a request needs more time than you have left, we tell you before we start, never after. You can spread the work over a couple of months, move up a plan, or have us quote it as a separate fixed-price project. If you know a busy month is coming, tell us early and we'll plan around it.

My site is on Shopify, Webflow or Framer. What does a plan cover?

Those platforms run their own servers and core software, so there's less to patch than on WordPress. We look after everything around that: settings, apps and integrations, backups, uptime monitoring, your domain and SSL, and your change hours. The platform's own subscription stays in your name.

How do I send a change request?

For now, by email: say what you want changed and where, and attach any new text or photos. A client portal for requests, files and invoices is coming soon.

How does cancelling work?

Tell us you'd like to cancel. A monthly plan stops at the end of the month you've paid for, and a yearly plan runs to the end of the paid year and doesn't renew. Either way we help you move hosting and hand over your backups and logins.

Can you look after a site you didn't build?

Usually, yes. We start with the free audit to see how it's built and what state it's in. If it needs repair first, we quote that as a fixed price, then move it onto a plan.
